Strings Made Simple

     Welcome to Strings Made Simple.  I have created this web site to help new parents of orchestra students become acquainted with important parts of string playing, whether it be the musical side or the maintenance side.  The more you know about your child's instrument the better prepared you will be to help him/her succeed at learning and enjoying their music.  As teachers, we try to teach all of this in class but with such limited class time things can be overlooked.  Please be observant in your child's practice and help them when needed.  Being involved is the key to your child's success.  Above all music should be fun, don't be so intent on getting your child to play well that they don't enjoy the beauty of the music.
